Dancing Skeletons

Dancing Skeletons

I have just created a page on Facebook for my book. I have to give a huge shout out to Cardiogirl for making the awesome graphic. You rock Cardiogirl!

The idea for the page was from fellow Tribal Blog member Rachele. She thought it would be a great way to generate buzz before I start sending out queries and she is absolutely right. Now, I just need to find some people to like the page.

Please go and like the page.

I’ve included the introduction in the discussions area. I probably won’t be posting anymore than that from the book, though I can’t be sure, I really have no idea what I am doing.

I will post my struggles with writing over there from now on, rather than here. I am sure you are all tired of hearing me whine about how hard writing is.

Thanks everyone, you guys are awesome.

Congratulations, Jen! I think this is a great idea to create some buzz for your book — and to motivate you to keep at it. I’m sure you’ll get a lot of “likers.” What’s not to like about Dancing Skeletons, for crying out loud?!

    Did someone say wine?

Congratulations on finishing. You must feel wonderful

Seriously, Jen, I just read the piece on your Facebook discussion page and was hooked. I’ll bet it was fairly difficult for you yet somehow cathartic. Good job.

The name is certainly appealing. I have to head over and read the intro.

Wow. Awesome intro! Can’t wait to read the rest. Congratulations on such an amazing accomplishment.

Gosh, thanks Jen! You rock too! AUUUGHHH!!!

Sorry, I looked over to the right and saw a photo of a guy named Robert Shepherd under the Find Us on Facebook widget. His face is made up like a scary skeleton, just his eyes and mouth have makeup and it was freaky.

Here. Look for yourself. Here’s the link.

Huh. Looks like he’s the lead singer for a band called Purgatory Grove. And his quote is: It is better to rule in Hell then to serve in Heaven.

Man, you learn something new every single day. Thanks for shout, Jen!

Writing is hard. The more you learn and try, the harder it gets. I kind of hate that about writing, but I’m addicted. Congrats on your book!

I hope to get back to blogging soon, I want to finish this so I can focus on the funny stuff in life but right now I’m writing so much I don’t have any desire to write my blog.

  • http://www.redheadranting.com/ redheadranting

Writing is hard, but worth it I hope. Thanks for liking!

  • http://www.redheadranting.com/ redheadranting

    Thanks Lanita!

You are right CG, you do learn something new everyday. I thought we were finished serving once we got to heaven, I sure hope so because if not they probably expect us to cook and do laundry too.

  • http://www.redheadranting.com/ redheadranting

Thanks Nicky and as soon as I finish I will hopefully get back to blogging.

  • http://www.redheadranting.com/ redheadranting

I’m hoping a publisher sees it that way.

  • http://www.redheadranting.com/ redheadranting

    It’s from a Shaw quote…

“If you can’t get rid of the skeletons in your closet, you may as well make them dance”

  • http://www.redheadranting.com/ redheadranting

I’m not finished yet, almost but not quite, I know it will feel wonderful when I am finished and I can get back to blogging. I miss you guys.

  • http://www.redheadranting.com/ redheadranting

It’s been very cathartic, much cheaper than therapy.

  • http://www.redheadranting.com/ redheadranting

It certainly does motivate me, I can’t just ditch it, I have to finish it because so many people are encouraging me to do just that. I recommend it to anyone who takes on a big project like this.
