I am a General Hospital Ambassador

Do you know what this means?

No, it does not mean I get to go to fancy dinners with important people from Port Charles, or even NY for that matter.

It means I get shwag from Port Charles.

Woohoo.

It also means I have to watch TV during the day, for research, you know.

Even better, I get super secret plot details in advance, and I get to share them with you.

I’ve been watching GH since high school. My best friend and I would get home from school and catch the last half hour of the show, usually eating brownie batter and Munchos.  (Munchos, the best named munchie food ever. No one knows what they are but the name screams stoner fuel.)

Back to General Hospital. Right now, MomCentral.com is having a sweepstakes for General Hospital fans. You can enter here. One lucky winner will be randomly selected to receive a trip to Los Angeles to visit the set of General Hospital and have a walk-on role. The sweepstakes is open until February 28th. I’m still not a mommy blogger but who could pass up General Hospital and free shwag? Not me.

    NO way!! VERY cool!!! I used to watch GH and All My Kids in college. When “Lauuurrraaaaa” was coming back. I went to GH second, and became a fan. Even taped it after I got married so I could watch it at night. And when I am home sick or my kids are home sick, I watch GH. It is always interesting to see who is on/off dead/alive/gay/not gay/pregnant/not pregnant Very cool!

    Now, General Hospital has escaped me all these years. On the other hand, I have done all the marathons of American’s Next Top Model (TYRA Mail…), Make Me A Supermodel, Pimp My Ride, The Real Housewives of Everywhere, and Bad Girls Club. Don’t judge me.

    Katherine: I watch it whenever Luke and Laura come back from the dead. I also love Tracy and she comes and goes from the asylum frequently.

    Did you know that Lila (the actress who played her is dead now) was in The Sound of Music? She was one of the nuns.

    Linda: I got hooked into the Real Housewives last year. Mostly NY.

    Pimp My Ride? Why doesn’t that surprise me about you?

    Don: They won’t divulge that information until absolutely necessary. If it happens in the next four weeks (cuz the ambassadorship is pretty short) I’ll be sure to let you know. I scheduled my college classes around GH, as did half the campus.

    Unfinished Rambler: I don’t know if I ever watched Y&R. Is that the one with Nadia’s Theme? I do know every show had a Victor. GH had Victor Cassidine.

    Okay, I just Googled Victor Cassidine and found the whole family tree. WTF? Who has this kind of time on their hands?

    I used to watch it in high school and college. I saw the opportunity on Mom Central and I cringed at adding yet another afternoon addiction. I’m hooked on AMC and OTL. I remember Luke & Laura back from their first wedding. Lol!

    I used to watch ALL of the ABC soaps, my favorite was always All My Children! I stopped watching GH when Luke & Laura left the show one hundred years ago!

    I used to watch General Hospital in high school, but it college I had a friend who switched me to Days of Our Lives. I still watch occasionally. The beauty of soap operas is that you can leave for months or years and come back and it only takes a couple of days to get caught up again.
