Well, we have seven kids at our “Compound” in the Philippines from age two thru age 16, and I guarantee you none of them can even turn on their Uncle Dave’s computer, let alone surf the net. You gave me two more reasons to keep them off of it. I run a tight little dictatorship.

Okay, so I missed National Cupcake Day by one day (but to be fair, I didn’t know anything about it and just coincidentally made cupcakes on the 4th). Cupcakes were made! Made, I tell you!

On another note: I would never let Chatroulette come anywhere near my daughter, but I’ll admit that I’ve had a really good time going on there with friends and trying to get people to imitate us. Call it Long Distance Simon Says. Good times!

I heard about chat roulette on NPR. Kids, and pervy adults, are going to love that one. It was just another story that left me feeling that the Apocalypse can’t be far away.

One of my colleagues just told me about chatroulette. It is definitely not safe for work or kids. I’m sure the intentions were good, but it’s now a portal into the unwashed underbelly of the internet.

Chatroulette is a complete freak show. I mean, there are some normal people on there, but lots and lots of freaks. You can flag them and their IP address will be sent to the site admin and they can be banned, but I don’t know if they actually do anything.

Also, you don’t have to pay that site anything. Kids can’t legally enter into a contract. I would turn that Kwedit site into the state AG’s office. Total scam.

Wow I had no idea about either site. Amazing what people can think of. And the net you get to see everyone of their thoughts come to reality. So if this Russian kid started this site, how does he keep it going? It must have a ton of hits now and he will need to pay for the servers. Unless he has a lot of advertisers that are making him money. God this could be the beggining of a very disturbing trend in websites, both of them. A way to get money from underage kids and as you said the perverts will be out like fireworks on the 4th. Phew glad all my kids are older now, I will just have to worry about the grand kids I don’t have yet.
