I feel you on the heat! Our van is in the shop, and the air just went out in the car, and we live in the South. I think we have you beat on the heat.

I wanted to go to Houston this weekend. No way, Jose! As much trouble as I've had out of that van, I won't chance it. And surely I won't go in a vehicle with no air. That's where Satan lives!

You know what they say:

If you can't stand the heat, go get me another beer and maybe bake some cookies, bitch!

I've learned many of my communication skills from my father.

Lola, Free sauna....'cuz I really like to sweat!

Me-Me I'd take dry heat any day over this humid shit. I get out of the shower and it's wetter out side.

Marilynne I've heard that San Diego is the place to be something like 72 all year 'round. I can't imagine what it is like not to have to pay heat and A/C. Sounds like heaven to me.

Cashmere, I have noticed with all the water I'm drinking that I look better. Water must have some magical property that Diet Coke does not. My wrinkles are less noticeable of course I've gained 7 pounds.

Kathy, "good hair"??? it's nothing but frizz so I just braid it while wet and wear it that way. The nice thing about that is having wet hair all day keeps me cool. I actually considered for a few seconds last night that I would straighten my hair for a change. I laughed when I thought of the hours it would take to do it and that it would last for all of ten minutes with this humidity.

Frogs, we had cold weather two weeks ago, people were walking around in their parkas, it was great! I knew this was coming but it still sucks when it gets here. Don't worry the heat is headed your way, enjoy the cold while you can.

Walt, I'm in Minnesota, don't you read my blog? Every other post is about the great state of MN (except of course for the weather and our political system, but the people are nice). We have had all of two days of rain since the beginning of May. Our lawns are crunchy and our water bills are sky high because we need to have green lawns even if the weather isn't cooperating. 15% better with a tan? Damn! Being a redhead that is out of the question aside from the safety hazard it is just not possible for me to tan. Luckily I read somewhere that being a redhead I get a +3 handicap on the 1-10 scale for looks. I think I read that at That Guy Over There, maybe that will make up for the 15% I lose because of my pasty white skin?

Where do you live? On Philly, it was seriously rained for 22 days in a row. I've been working on my ark and I may make it. Tomorrow is the first break and it's going to 90. I like hot as you can still be outside and enjoy life. Plus, you look 15% better looking with a tan.

Please send me some of your heat. I wore a sweater to work today. And not one of those cute little cardigans--a ^&*#ing WINTER sweater.

Yeah, but at least you have good hair. There are few greater disappointments than leaving the house for work looking like I already worked a whole day. Frizz be damned!

p.s. Something is wrong with Pricilla. She needs to see a doctor.

Me-Me-King: You know I used to hear that "dry heat" comment when we lived in Scottsdale, AZ, and I always wondered, "compared to what?" Arizona was the first place I ever crossed the street to walk in the shade.

Sorry about the heat! I now live in San Diego. Summer's coming, but it's in the low 70s at the moment (noon).
