I wasn't blogging then but had good health insurance so she received good treatment. She hurt her knee after we retired to the Philippines where she is from and got treated by the head of orthopedic surgery who was trained at Boston Mass and had a private practice in NYC. That's amazing. I won't need surgery the brace they gave me has worked wonders. It probably helped when the doc popped it back in place too. Linda: I didn't have the MRI. By the afternoon I felt no pain and it wasn't from the drugs. I called the DR's office and said I didn't need the MRI since it didn't hurt anymore and that I wasn't willing to have a costly test that was unnecessary even if the insurance covered it. He agreed completely and the appt was canceled. So far no pain. But I will continue to wear the brace since it squishes my leg. I'm pretty sure I have lost a size or two in my leg area from the brace. Tomorrow I'm wearing it on the other leg and then I'm going to get one from my ass. PeeDee: Wow, 7 surgeries? That’s amazing.
