I was trying to get caught up on my commenting today and noticed that I can’t visit a lot of you because you aren’t registered with Disqus and therefore your blog link isn’t showing up when you comment.

I really want to visit you, so if you refuse to register with Disqus (even though it is free and it will totally make your blogging life so much simpler) could you please leave a link to your blog or most recent post for me so I can visit your site? I would really appreciate it. If you choose to leave a link I might need to moderate however that shouldn’t be an issue as long as you don’t have ‘penis’ or ‘Viagra’ in your URL.

One of the things I'm loving on wp is having everyone's blog url show up in my e-mails when i get their comments. It makes returning visits so much quicker and easier.

    http://www.cheapviagra.bigone.com

  2. Ha! You didn't get spammed!

It makes it so much easier and I can respond in an email. And I can easily
    visit their site.

  3. I *heart* Disqus, and YOU

  4. Nicky says:

In the interest of (Viagra) making your (penis) life simpler, here is my (porn site) URL:

    http://www.weworkforcheese.com

You know, sometimes I amaze myself with my considerate nature.

  5. comedyplus says:

I'm glad I registered. Just saying. What Tracie said too.

Have a terrific day. Hugs :)

  6. The only reason you are getting through is because you have left like a
bazillion and one comments here before. I'm pretty sure you are
grandfathered in no matter what kind of smut you talk about.

  7. Jay says:

As long as I put my url in the box, I shouldn't have to join Dsqus for you to be able to click my name and get to my blog.

  8. That is correct and I can see your URL but some people aren't doing that I
guess. Of course all the people who leave comments without filling in that
little box won't come back because they will think I have dissed them by not
visiting so this is probably pointless.

  9. joannmannix says:

I, for one, can tell you it's so easy once you've registered, to just come back here every time with your information already just waiting for you to post because I am lazy and to have to make my fingers do even the most minimal of extra typing is just too much work. So, I love the disqus.

  10. MsDarkstar says:

So, I guess mymassivelyhugerection at viagraisthebomb dot com should perhaps not be my domain name if I want to leave you comments? *grin

  11. But your link ISN'T showing up. And this scares me because you are a blond.

  12. Pricilla says:

Hopefully people won't get frustrated and then unfrustrated.

  13. I hope you aren't frustrated anymore. I can see your link and even if I
can't, I can still find you.

  14. Gwenny says:

Just registered on Disqus and started a new blog to post my writings on. So far it looks very useful. Thanks for the bit of advice on it and love your writings hun.

  15. Wait, is that right? Can I say penis? Cuz I don't think I've left a bazillion comments here yet. How about flookigraggin? Can I say that? I'm not sure if it's suitable for children or anything, I mean I wouldn't say it at the elementary schoolyard, but you never know these days, do you?

  16. Hahahaha! I dare you to start a blog with that name!

  17. I'm so glad you are registered too!

  18. Right back at ya!

    ♥♥♥

  19. Geez, my kid reads this blog, did you have to go and get all flookigraggin on me? I'll have you know we don't talk that way over here. We have morals and standards and integrity and all that shit.

  20. We can do this all night.

    ♥♥♥

Shawn rocks for teaching me that!

  21. Shawn does rock. I love that woman.

  22. mrsblogalot says:

OMG it really made a link of that nonsense!!

  23. Wow, you really take your wine seriously! I can't believe that one made it through. I guess it's just like movies and TV anything about sex is outlawed but violence is okay.

  24. BeingMeAllie says:

Are you really going to make me register. I've been meaning too since a lot of people are using it. I'm lazy.

  25. It would really help me to visit your site, well not so much you because you
are in the Tribal Blogs toolbar and that is really easy but for people who
aren't I really need their blog link so I can visit them.

  26. I have the same problem. It takes so little time to sign up. I wish they would. In fact I wish Everybody used Disqus ;)

  27. More and more people are using Disqus so it makes sense that everyone sign
    up.

  28. themother says:

Actually, I find it annoying. I get to a site, start typing, and then Discus throws up a box–Hey, the Mother, is that you? Then I lose my train of thought.

  29. If you were registered it wouldn't do that. It wouldn't do anything but
populate all the little things for you automatically.

  30. themother says:

I am registered. It's just that it doesn't always remember me when I get to a site, and then it has to log me in.

  31. Huh. It's never been an issue for me but maybe that's because I use it for
    my comments?

  32. mama-face says:

Never heard of disqus…but I'm a complete dunce when it comes to real blogging…maybe I should take a class?

Off I go to check it out. :)

  33. JunkDrawer says:

OK, so I just realized I didn't have my URL in my profile over at Disqus!!! Because I saw my picture and “JunkDrawer” name as a link above the empty comment box, I assumed it meant my blog link was included. NOT!

Why didn't you tell me! I feel like I've been walking around with a booger hanging out of my nose and nobody said anything!

    Thanks a lot.

  34. lindamedrano says:

Uhm, Jen, can I have a “vagina” in my URL? I'm just wondering…

  35. I'm pretty sure this will be the best comment of the week! Sorry, I didn't
see it and I know where you are so it didn't matter to me.

  36. Sam Liu says:

I registered for Disqus after meeting many bloggers who used it, I can see why, it really is an excellent commenting system. I echo your advice, if you haven't registered – do. It makes life that little bit easier for the commenter and the blogger :)

  37. howmuchlongertillfriday says:

I hated Disqus when I first started using it, but now…LOVE IT!

  38. But your information isn't showing up!

  39. How bout now? I changed something.

  40. Yep, now I can see it!

  41. Jayne says:

Even people who do have Disqus need to check their settings and make sure they have their blog connected to it. Margaret at Nanny Goats wrote a really great tutorial on that a couple of weeks ago.

  42. Jayne says:

Thanks for writing the tutorial about hitching up your blog to Disqus so it shows when you comment. I had no idea I hadn't done that till I read your post.

  43. megscole64 says:

I just wish it would keep me logged in so I didn't have to log back in every single day. *sigh* Hope my settings are correct.

  44. Heathersprout says:

    Ok. I registered.

  45. lisleman says:

I've been using Disqus for months now and have been very happy with it. I think it helps keep the spam comments out. Love the features of it.
But I must say if I were to post what you just did I would not get the great response you got.
When the redhead speaks her followers listen.
Thanks for getting more people on Disqus maybe some will drop by my place.

  46. Except I can't see it. Did you register after you left this comment? Or did you lie? ;)

  47. I can see all your stuff, at least the stuff you should be showing. Your avatar and your website. Nothing embarrassing, just the right stuff.

  48. Her post was great and I thought about stealing it but she was working on her site and I couldn't find it. http://www.nannygoatsinpanties.com/2010/04/why-...
Here it is, it probably makes more sense than my post. Margaret is smart and stuff.

  49. JuneZach says:

I have been using Disqus for months now. :)

  50. Heathersprout says:

I don't lie. I can never remember what I said.
    I registered.
